ROY ENRIQUE MEDINA 10-11-1935 – 10-13-2018 RENATE DOLTGEN MEDINA 9-23-1939 – 7-20-2018 My wonderful mom Renate was born on 9/23/1939 to Willhelmina Doltgen and Werner Fischer in Augsburg, Germany, she passed away on 7/20/2018 in Tooele, Utah My wonderful dad, Roy, was born on 10/11/1935 to Maria Gertrude & Guillermo Medina in Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico, he passed away on 10/13/2018 in Tooele, Utah. They met and were married on September 2, 1960 in Augsburg, Germany. They were married for 58 years and lived the majority of their lives in Tooele. My dad served in the United States Army for six years and was honorably discharged in 1962. He worked for Tooele Army Depot and retired after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and watching the Broncos play. My mother worked for several companies throughout her lifetime and retired when my dad did. She enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo. Together they enjoyed traveling, fishing and taking care of their yard. They were members of St. Marguerites Catholic Church. They were blessed with and raised two children Elizabeth and William. They are survived by their daughter Elizabeth (Butch) Downey, Grandchildren Diana (JT) Neebling, Jennie (Kara) Downey, Trey Downey and Kenneth Medina, Great grandson Kash Cahill, Roy’s brothers Nabor, Gene and Richard Medina, Roy’s sister Ida Maestas, Sister-in-law Cree Medina, many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by their only son William Medina, their parents, several sisters, many Sisters-in-law and one of Roy’s brothers. I would like to thank the Staff at Rocky Mountain Health Care for taking care of my mother for the two years prior to her passing and for the few months that my father was in their care. I would also like to thank Hospice for assisting me during this very difficult time. A special THANK YOU to my uncles for their love, support and dedication to my father, mother and myself. There will be a visitation and Rosary at St. Marguerites Catholic Church on Sunday October 21 st 2018, Visitation from 6-7 and Rosary beginning at 7 pm. Funeral mass will be at St. Marguerites Catholic Church on Monday October 22, 2018 at 11:30 am with visitation one hour prior to services. My parents lived their lives for each other and will now be laid to rest together. May they REST IN PARADISE…. Never forget to remember that I LOVE YOU.
